Selena Gomez 'Numb' To Heartbreaks; Justin Bieber's Ex Allegedly Dating Niall Horan
Selena Gomez, 27, just released her new track called “Lose You to Love Me” on Tuesday. Many fans rejoiced after learning about the Disney alum’s return to the music scene. However, the song lyrics raised many brows as it seems to narrate Selena’s failed relationship with Justin Bieber, 25.
One particular line of the new song sparked discussions among fans. Fortunately, Selena, in a recent interview at “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” revealed the inspiration behind the “in two months, you replaced us” lyrics. Ryan Seacrest talked about how hard it is to go through a breakup, to which Selena agreed on.
“Yeah, and that I think — you know, I’m really grateful, too, because I’ve experienced that a million times before,” Selena Gomez told the host. “That’s the unfortunate part about what I do. It’s all very real to me, and I’m sure it’s just entertainment for other people, but I think I had become numb to it,” Justin Bieber’s ex-ladylove went on.
Selena furthered that she knows a lot of people are feeling “inauthentic” for not acknowledging their own feelings since they are afraid of what others would say. The “Love Me Like a Love Song” hitmaker said it is important to just focus on yourself and on what you are doing.
An unnamed source told Us Weekly that “Lose You to Love Me” was inspired by Selena Gomez’s breakup from Justin Bieber in May 2018. Before their final split, the former lovebirds took a break from their relationship in March 2018 as they were, reportedly, having a lot of disagreements. “…one fight, in particular, blew up and caused them to decide to 'break up,' however, they've been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed,” E! News reported.
Meanwhile, Selena Gomez and Niall Horan sparked dating rumors again after the One Direction singer left a sweet comment on the “Monte Carlo” star’s recent post on Instagram. Selena shared a black and white video of herself singing her new single and thanked her fans for their unwavering support in the caption.
"Thank you all for standing by my side through the highs and lows. I couldn’t do it without you all and I can’t wait to start my next adventure with you. _ Lose You To Love Me is out now. #ShotOniPhone,” Selena said. Niall, then, wrote two hearts emojis under the clip. To recall, the two sparked dating rumors after they were seen hanging out at a friend’s group dinner recently.
Dating speculations intensified after Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend was spotted arriving at the “Story of My Life” singer’s apartment with some grocery items. Both Selena Gomez and Niall Horan have yet to comment on these claims.
