Even though Selena Gomez has managed to rekindle her romance with Justin Bieber, it seems like her relationship with the press has fizzled. Not long after an interview featuring the “Wolves” singer was published online, the 25-year-old made her Instagram account private.

According to Cosmopolitan, on Tuesday, fans began to notice that Gomez’s account was no longer available for the public to view and started to speculate why she would change her account settings,

The star’s decision to go private on Instagram comes after she posted and deleted an excerpt from her Billboard interview.

“There’s a five-foot teddy bear sprawled across the kitchen floor in Selena Gomez’s North Hollywood home. ‘I know, I know,’ says Gomez, rolling her eyes, acknowledging that the stuffed animal doesn’t quite blend with the trio of armchairs nestled in the inviting, marble-accented nook,” the excerpt read.

“It was a gift, and at first I thought, ‘This is so ridiculous, I can’t wait until I give it away to another person.’”

Over the excerpt, Gomez expressed her thoughts regarding that portion of the interview. “Never will I let another human guess my words ever again. Or invite them into my home. That is so hurtful. The most ‘ridiculous’ part of that is no one knowing my heart when I say things,” she wrote.

Even though it is unclear why the observation of the teddy bear offended Gomez, there could be a chance that she was worried about offending the person who gifted her with the stuffed animal. Perhaps it was from her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd?

Even though the stars split in October, sources have said that they have remained friends following the break up. Gomez’s love life has been at the center of headlines everywhere after she split with the "Starboy" singer and got back together with Bieber.

The “Bad Liar” singer’s decision to go private on Instagram comes after Bieber was seen out in Los Angeles and caused a stir over a potential engagement. TMZ spotted the “Purpose” singer leaving a local eatery on Monday and asked the artist if he plans on proposing to his girlfriend.

Although Bieber did not verbally respond, he smiled after hearing the question and continued to maintain the happy grin on his face as he got into his vehicle and prepared to drive off.

While it seems like she is in a good place in her relationship, Gomez no longer seems interested in sharing details about her private life.
