Selena Gomez is one of the few celebrities who frequently connects with her fans on social media. The singer is known for being emotional over her fans and leaves no stone unturned to make it up to them for the love they show toward her.

Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music and Genius, the 27-year-old musician opened up about her relationship fans and why she decided to take a step back from engaging with her fans one-on-one. The “Lose You To Love Me” hitmaker noted that she is always open to have more communication with her fans and would love to do it more often.

However, Gomez admitted that she feels quite overwhelmed by the response she gets and has therefore decided to take a step back because the relationship between her and the fans was turning out to be “really heavy.”

“It makes me kind of bummed because I do wanna have communication with my fans. I used to be extremely personal, one on one, but I find that lately it has just become really heavy. I think people expect a lot more of me and want me to do more. But the truth is, I have to take care of myself and take care of my mind with things that I'm reading and listening to,” Gomez said.

A few months back, the “Good For You” songstress got emotional while delivering a special message to her fans.

Talking in an interview with streaming giant Spotify, Gomez opened up about the special bond she shares with her followers and revealed that the journey she has gone through with her fans is something she will never forget and that is the reason she loves them so much.

“I love them (fans) because it has really been about the journey and I feel like I have grown up with a lot of people. The most heartbreaking conversations are where they are just telling me they are suffering,” Gomez said.

Recently, the acclaimed singer opened up about her dating life and revealed that there are days when she feels that she would not be able to find her “soulmate.”

“I am still a baby. I got a lot to figure out. But I do know, I believe. Some days, when I wake up and I am annoyed and I am like, ‘I am gonna be alone forever,’” Gomez said.
