Selena Gomez is having a great year and she has no plans to stop anytime soon. The singer, who took a short break to focus on her mental health, believes that 2019 has been really good for her, and she is now looking forward to making 2020 even better.

Speaking with InStyle, the 27-year-old singer, who launched herself into the spotlight this year with some amazing new music, revealed that 2019 has been one of the best years of her life professionally and personally because she has achieved a lot of things that she did not think she would be able to.

The “Look At Her Now” hitmaker shared that she has been taking time to sit down and reflect on what all she has achieved this year. She noted that this year has been “powerful” for her, and she is really proud of how “hard” she has worked to make this year wonderful.

“I can say that I am so proud of how hard I worked, and I that I truly am excited to just sit back with my family, and enjoy, and turn off everything,” Gomez said.

The musician released two new songs recently, “Lose You To Love Me” and “Look At Her Now.” Both songs have been declared massive hits by critics as well as fans, with “Lose You To Love Me” becoming Gomez’s first song to reach the numero uno position on Billboard Hot 100.

Talking about her upcoming album, the “Good For You” hitmaker noted that her next album is the “best” she has ever done. The album, which is going to release on Jan. 10, 2020, will be her third studio album and first in more than 4 years.

“I feel like I lived up to the expectations. Hopefully, that doesn’t come back to bite me in the a—,” Gomez said.

In related news, the “Wolves” singer returned to the American Music Awards (AMAs) stage for the first time in two years, but it reportedly was not easy for the songstress to perform on the stage. A source told E! News that Gomez had anxiety and a panic attack before she went out, and she was putting a lot of pressure on herself .

Gomez has always been open about her struggles with mental health. She recently explained how suffering from Lupus gave her nightmares and contributed to issues like mental and physical health.

The “Wizards Of Waverly Place” star also admitted that she felt really disheartened when people started to attack her for gaining weight when they did not know what she was going through.

In 2016, Gomez had to stop her worldwide “Revival” tour because of mental health issues.
