Selena Gomez's Mom Suffers Miscarriage; Singer Canceled Concerts to be With Her

Selena Gomez's canceled two concerts reportedly because her mother, Mandy Teefey, has suffered a miscarriage and she wanted to be by her side.

According to E! Online, Gomez was to perform in Chicago and Seattle over the weekend, but a representative told the celebrity news Web site that the concerts were canceled because of a family emergency.

E! Online also reported that a source close to the family has said that Gomez's mother miscarried last week.

An excited Gomez announced her mother's pregnancy in late November on Twitter.

Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news... My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister :) I'm the happiest girl in the world! Gomez's tweet read.

Mandy Teefy, 35, divorced Gomez's biological father when the singer was five years old. Teefy later married her current husband, Brian, in 2006.

The baby would have been the couple's first child.
