"Selling Sunset" star Vanessa Villela said "I Do" with photographer and creative director Nick Hardy in a "magical" and "cinematic" event at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California, early this month.
The pair's secret wedding on Sept. 3 was revealed in an exclusive story by Brides Magazine which detailed the couple's preparation for the grand outdoor event.
Villela and Hardy, a.k.a Tom Fraud, said they envisioned the affair to be "magical and cinematic."
"We wanted the event to be intimate yet grand, and to create something that would blow people's minds. Just like our love, this event had to reflect their fairytale love story," the couple shared.
The magazine's Instagram page shared a gallery of photos from the ceremony including a black-and-white snap of the newly-married couple smiling sweetly at each other during the ceremony.
"Exclusive: Selling Sunset star @vannevillela and @tomfraud's wedding was filled with a lot of surprises and musical moments: 'This event had to reflect our fairytale love story,'" the magazine captioned its post.
The couple opted for a motif of blush, ivory and gold and adorned the venue with plenty of white florals which extended around a dome that served as the altar and along the aisle.
The groom recalled becoming overwhelmed as he watched his 44-year-old bride walking toward him.
"Turning around and seeing Vanessa walk down the aisle for the first time took my breath away," Hardy said. "I felt like I was going to pass out. It was beautiful. Thanks to Adrian, my best man, I didn't fall over."
The magazine shared snaps of Villela walking down the aisle beside a fountain adorned with white flowers. Another photo shows Hardy looking emotional during the ceremony. A third snap shows the groom lifting Villela's veil as the groomsmen look on.
However, there was a small hiccup right in the middle of the ceremony.
"When the rings were requested, no one knew who had them!" the newlyweds shared in the article. "The ceremony stopped and the flower girls appeared from the back. They arrived, but they didn't have the rings. At that point the page boy, Lucas St John ran out shouting, 'I have the rings!' He walked down the aisle holding a custom-made golden crystallized box by Elena Honch from the Ukraine containing both."
Villela and Hardy first met in person in Mexico after getting to know each other virtually in October 2020.
