‘Shadowhunters’ Spoilers: Season 2B Official Promo Released Online; Introduces Sebastian [VIDEO]

It’s here: The first look of the second half of “Shadowhunters’” second season. The official promo of Season 2B was released by Freeform and it offers the first glimpse of a new and intriguing character named Sebastian (played by Will Tudor).

Apart from a sneak peek into the dashing new Shadowhunter, the video hints at the Downworlders’ uprising. They want revenge. Clary (Katherine McNamara) offers her new boyfriend Simon (Alberto Rosende) a chance to turn back. Of course, Simon being Simon, says “Wherever you go, I go,” to her.

However, “Shadowhunters” fans know all too well that a love triangle between Jace (Dominic Sherwood), Clary and Simon will be back in the picture in Season 2. After all, Valentine (Alan Van Sprang) told Jace that he isn’t his father which means Clary isn’t his sister as he previously believed.

When the Freeform series returns, Jace will waste no time in telling Clary that they aren’t related. Will Clary leave Simon for Jace? A teaser trailer suggests that he does not want to come in between the lovebirds since they are at a good place right now.

In other news, “Shadowhunters” has tweaked Sebastian’s character from the books. Instead of being from the Paris Institute, the half-angel-half-human will be from the London Institute and have a British accent. Interestingly, the actor who portrays the character, Will Tudor, is friends with Dominic Sherwood. Both actors are from England.

Meanwhile, Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) and Alec’s (Matthew Daddario) relationship continues to go strong after the latter confessed his love to Magnus in the explosive winter finale. Go Malec!

Furthermore, the TV show has been renewed for a third season by Freeform. Which means, more Malec and Clace!

“Shadowhunters” returns on Monday, June 5 at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
