A new protagonist named Light Tenryu takes the stage in "Shadowverse Flame" Episode 1.

The official website has released the synopsis of the first installment. Tenryu is an ordinary second-year middle school student. However, he will be transferred to Shadovar College, where the anime is set.

Shadovar College is a facility that guides and trains the pro players of the Shadowverse game. Tenryu, who is a transfer student, joins Seventh Flame, which is one of the seven clubs at Shadovar.

However, the club is not doing great, and is on the verge of shutting down for good. The club lacks members and after Tenryu joins it, he decides to revive the club by looking for suitable new members.

Can Tenryu find new members, who are passionate about the game?

During his journey, the character will encounter several rivals.

“The hottest battle is about to begin! While attending Tensei Academy, Hiiro Ryugasaki ends up acquiring a mysterious smartphone. It comes installed with the popular card game, Shadowverse! Meeting new rivals, facing major tournaments, forging bonds with friends... Shadowverse leads Hiiro to all sorts of new experiences, all that serve to ‘evolve’ him...,” read the official series synopsis, as per Crunchyroll.

The cast of the anime includes Yuta Uemura as Light Tenryu, Shiori Izawa as Dragnir, Kazuki Ura as Subaru Makabe, Hibiku Yamamura as Itsuki Mitsutagawa, Miyu Tomita as Tsubasa Takanashi, Rarisa Tago Takeda as Ren Kazamatsuri and Showtaro Morikubo as Gentleman.

"Shadowverse Flame" anime is directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi. The series composition is by Rintaro Isozaki and Deko Akao. Yoshihiro Ike has composed the music for the series.

The original character design is by HSN, Onineko, Mikeboshi and Manabi Okada. Asahiko Koshiyama, Shigeki Asakawa, Yūta Nakamura are the directors of photography.

The opening theme song of "Shadowverse Flame" anime is titled "Shingan" or The Mind’s Eye and is performed by Lanndo feat. Keina Suda. The ending theme song is titled "My Turn" by Yui Ogura.

"Shadowverse Flame" Episode 1 is debuting this Friday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
