Shakira's upcoming music is about heartbreak.

The "Don't You Worry" singer shared a series of cryptic posts over the weekend teasing what appears to be her new single, "Monotonía," which comes months after her split from her partner of 11 years, Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué.

"It wasn't your fault," the Colombian singer wrote in Spanish in her first Instagram post, as translated into English by People.

It was followed by "mine either" and "it was the monotony's fault."

Later, on Saturday, Shakira posted a disturbing video of a human heart being crushed by a man's shoe.

"I never said anything, but it hurt. I knew that this would happen," she wrote in the caption.

On Sunday, Shakira dropped the cover art for "Monotonía," which featured a sword stabbing into a heart.

The single, which is set to be released on Oct. 19, is a collaboration with Puerto Rican star Ozuna.

The posts came four months after Shakira and Piqué announced that they have called it quits. The Colombian artist and the Spanish athlete share two sons: Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.

"We regret to confirm that we are separating," the former couple said in a joint statement in June. "We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect."

Last month, the "Waka Waka" singer opened up about their split for the first time in an interview with Elle.

Shakira described it as "one of the most painful things" she has ever gone through and admitted it was still "hard to talk about" because "I'm still going through it."

She told the magazine that the constant presence of paparazzi outside her home and the various headlines have made the already difficult situation even harder to deal with.

The singer also admitted that she felt pressure as she worked to establish a co-parenting relationship with her ex.

"Regardless of how things ended or how Gerard and I feel about each other as ex-partners, he is the father of my children. We have a job to do for these two incredible boys, and I have faith that we will figure out what is best for their future, their own dreams in life, and what is a fair solution for everyone involved," Shakira explained.

She also asked fans and the media for "space" to be able to work on this privately.
