The comedy-drama series "Shameless" finally came to an end Sunday after being on air for over a decade.
Over the past week, the cast members of the Showtime series, which first aired on Jan. 9, 2011, have shared their memories and group pictures on social media.
Emma Kenney, who played the role of Deborah Gallagher in the show, took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a series of photos featuring the cast members. "And that’s our show, folks. Series finale airs tonight. @shameless THANK YOU times 11," the 21-year-old actress wrote.
While the first photo was in black and white, the other photos were colorful in all the possible ways. The cast could be seen wrapped in towels, following a swimming pool session.
William H. Macy, 71 -- who portrayed Frank Gallagher in the series -- posted a picture on Instagram on April 6 featuring all cast members and captioned it: "Goodbye Shameless. End of an era. Finale this Sunday on Showtime."
Another key character of "Shameless," Ian Gallagher, portrayed by Cameron Monaghan, took to Instagram last week and shared the "final party" picture.
"The final party," he wrote. "Our last episode of Shameless airs this Sunday. It’s closing time. You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here. Thanks for being along for the ride."
The official handle of "Shameless" also posted a picture of the cast on Instagram and wrote, "We had a good f****** time. Head to the link in our bio to watch the post-finale panel with the #Shameless cast and Executive Producer @johnwellsproductions!"
The drama series revolved around a single father of six kids, who spent most of his time in bars. Actress Emmy Rossum portrayed the oldest daughter named Fiona, who takes on the responsibility of raising her siblings because of her parents' absence.
Macy took to Instagram again on Sunday to announce a post-series finale panel and captioned, "After the finale tonight, make sure to join us at Gallagherhouse.com."
The finale panel was a virtual event held on GallagherHouse.com. It allowed fans to explore the Gallagher house through a 360-degree first-person experience, and featured a cast reunion.
Macy's upcoming project includes fantasy adventure movie "Jurassic World: Dominion," which is slated to release on June 10, 2022.
