‘Shameless’ Season 6 Spoilers: Premiere Set To Air Early; Find Out How To Watch Episode 1 On Jan. 1
The Gallaghers were never really ones to follow the rules. According to reports, our favorite family from the hit Showtime series “Shameless” will be sneaking into our homes early to give viewers an advanced look at the show’s sixth season.
Yep, that’s right! Instead of waiting for the critically acclaimed series to premiere Jan. 10, Frank (William H. Macy), Fiona (Emmy Rossum) and the rest of the Chicago clan will be kicking off the new year on a chaotic note Friday, with more eye-widening drama.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed the exciting news, revealing just how fans of the dark comedy can reunite with their beloved characters a week early. According to reports, audiences can tune in to an advance release of the show’s Season 6 premiere through several different streaming platforms. That means viewers can check out the first episode of “Shameless,” titled “I Only Miss Her When I’m Breathing,” through YouTube, Facebook, SHO.com, iTunes, Hulu, PlayStation Vue, Amazon Prime and Showtime Anytime on Friday.
Fans were given a taste of the beer-soaked season in November when the official trailer for the forthcoming installment was released. In the lengthy promo video, viewers watch as the Gallagher family copes with the return of their dysfunctional-turned-overly emotional father. (According to the premiere synopsis, Frank is still mourning the death of his lover Bianca [Bojana Novakovic] who vanished into the ocean during the Season 5 finale.)
But that’s not all the craziness Fiona and her family will be dealing with come January. The summary for episode 1 added that the Gallagher matriarch will find herself flooded with parental responsibility following Debbie’s pregnancy scandal.
Can the Gallaghers survive another hectic season of “Shameless”? Fans will find out Friday, when the Showtime series airs an advance look at the Season 6 premiere, which will air Jan. 10 at 9 p.m. EST.
