  • Liu playfully responded to his fans' reactions on social media

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" star Simu Liu shared his New Year's resolution on social media.

Liu, 32, took to Twitter and shared his hilarious resolution for 2022. "My new year's resolution is to stop overordering at restaurants," he tweeted.

"Just kidding it's actually to do better at protecting my mental health, but that's not as funny," he added.

Several reacted to his first post because they could relate to it. Many also said that overordering seemed to be an "Asian" thing. Others said they do the same and would take home some of their orders.

"And that is how I know you're Asian," one commented.

"It's an Asian thing, my guy. My brothers and I do the same. We're more concerned with having leftovers than eating the main course of food," a second netizen added.

"Every time I order at a restaurant, I ask for a to-go box & immediately put half everything in it — entree, sides, bread, etc. Then I'm not stuffed & also have lunch for tomorrow," one wrote.

Meanwhile, some also jokingly supported both of Liu's goals in his tweets.

"Protecting [your] mental health by overordering at restaurants [could] be a win-win solution," one joked.

"Food is fuel; therefore over ordering protects your mental health. Boom," Roxy Striar added.

Another user shared a clip of Liu enjoying a meal with his pals. "I don’t think you will," the user wrote in the caption.

The video showed a table filled with food. The person behind the camera asked, "Wow, this is for five people. Who ordered? Who ordered?" and one pointed to Liu. The actor smiled at the camera and his companion laughed at him.

"This was taken last year Lily #newyearnewme," Liu responded.

Meanwhile, another user suggested to Liu the n-1 method. The netizen said when dining out with a group, he should order one less dish than the number of people because it worked all the time for her. However, the Marvel star seemed to be not on board with the suggestion.

"I don't want to starve my dinner guests Audrey," Liu replied.
