‘Sharknado 5’ Celebrity Cameos: Who To Expect In ‘Global Swarming’
The “Sharknado” franchise isn’t just known for sharks and campy action sequences. Fans get excited for the celebrity cameos, too. It looks like the Syfy franchise has more familiar faces than ever to fill out the cast of “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.”
This year, the sharks are everywhere and that means Fin (Ian Ziering), April (Tara Reid) and Nova (Cassie Scerbo) will be going abroad to save the world. Parts of the movie will take place in England, and “Saturday Night Live” alum Chris Kattan will throw on a British accent to play the Prime Minister in “Sharknado 5.” He’ll appear alongside British model and TV personality Katie Price.
It seems all of England’s top authorities will be concerned about the sharknado, even the Queen. Don’t expect any top British actors to appear as members of the monarch, though. Charo, the Spanish-American singer and comedian, will make a cameo as the Queen in “Sharknado 5.”

Abby Lee Miller recently went to prison but before her legal troubles, she filmed a cameo for “Global Swarming.” It looks like the “Dance Moms” star is going to be in England as well, and she looks terrified.
Greg Louganis, the diver who competed in the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, will appear in the campy franchise. The American gold medalist flew to Sofia, Bulgaria, to film his cameo. He’ll play an art thief named Zico, and judging from this photo below, it doesn’t look like he’s prepared to go swimming with the sharks.
While many celebrities are making cameo appearances as fictional characters, Bret Michaels is playing himself. The “Poison” frontman will appear with his signature bandana and a guitar. But will that be enough to fight off the sharks?
Olivia Newton-John will make an appearance alongside her daughter Chloe Lattanzi. Newton-John will play Orion while her daughter plays Electra. The “Grease” alum will give April a Sandy-like makeover.
The list of celebrity cameos doesn't end there. Model Fabio will play the Pope and “American Idol” alum Clay Aiken will parody Q from the James Bond films in his appearance.

In addition, TV show hosts Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford and Geraldo Rivera will make appearances. Comedians Gilbert Godfrey and Margaret Cho, British Olympic swimmer Tom Daley, actress Bai Ling, wrestler John Hennigan, skateboarder Tony Hawk, NFL running back Doug Martin, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” host Jai Rodriguez also have cameos.
“Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” was filmed all over the world, so there are plenty of celebrity cameos from international stars, as well. Check out some of them below:
