Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello sure know how to cause a stir. The duo teased a new project together on Tuesday night and caused quite a bit of excitement for fans.

Mendes fueled speculation of a new song and possibly new music video with the former Fifth Harmony member when he posted a captionless 19-second clip to social media. The video, shared to both Instagram and Twitter, featured the 20-year-old and the Cuban-American singer on the verge of kissing before images of Mendes alone and Cabello in a diner flickered across the screen.

The post left fans pleading for more details. "MORE INFORMATION MENDES!!!!! WE NEED MORE INFORMATION," one user tweeted.

Others pondered what the post truly meant. "Collab? Relationship? A fanfic?" an Argentinian Shawn Mendes fan page wrote.

It didn't take long for the duo to dish out some more hints to their starving fans. Less than an hour after the "If I Can't Have You" singer posted the steamy video, he posted the message "IKWYDLS2 part 2," which is the acronym for the single Mendes and Cabello collaborated on in 2015, "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

Cabello shared a different, also captionless, 23-second video teaser to Twitter later that night. The clip shows the "Havana" singer waitressing as she spots Mendes sitting in a nearby booth. It then cuts to Cabello exiting the building through a back entrance where the Candian singer chases after and approaches her.

Nothing else has been released regarding the new project but if it's anything like their first collaboration, fans should be happy.

"I Know What You Did Last Summer" was the lead single off of Mendes debut studio album "Handwritten." The single appeared on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100 and even won two iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards.
