Shay Carl Cheating Update: Everything We Know About Shaytards Scandal So Far
Shay Carl Butler hasn’t resurfaced on his YouTube channels since the reveal of his online love affair with cam girl Aria Nina in February, but that hasn’t stopped fans from talking about the popular Shaytards vlogger. In light of his indefinite leave from YouTube, here’s everything we know about his cheating scandal so far.
What Happened?
On Feb. 12, Aria Nina, a cam girl, revealed on Twitter she and Shay were involved in a strictly online relationship for three months and released their sexual, private messages. Aria said on the YouTube show DramaAlert that she and Shay never met in person and confirmed he was not one of her paid customers.
Shay’s Response
Shay did not respond to Aria’s comments. On his Twitter account, which he has since deactivated, he announced he was struggling with his alcoholism and would be seeking treatment. In his statement, he said his wife, Colette Butler, was by his side, shutting down divorce rumors.
Why The Reveal?
Aria has denied wanting fame and fortune from revealing her relationship with Shay. She previously said she revealed their romance after he was allegedly rude to her following her comment to him about his youngest son.
Where Are Shay And Colette Now?
Shay and Colette have not uploaded a Shaytards video since Feb. 10, (Coincidentally, their final video is titled “LET’S DiSAPPEAR FOR A YEAR!”) but they have since appeared on the social site.
In late February, Colette briefly appeared on her sister-in-law’s family vlog channel to celebrate her father-in-law’s birthday. Shay and Colette made a dual appearance in YouTuber Charles Trippy’s wedding vlog in mid-March.
Where Is Aria Nina Now?
Aria continues to work as a cam girl and promote her live cams on Twitter. She occasionally talks about Shay, and in March, shaded him with a deleted Shaytards video. She has also denied a rumor of unknown origin about her being pregnant with the father of five’s baby.
When Will The Shaytards Return?
Colette’s sisters-in-law Carlie Wood and Kayli Butler revealed last month that Colette was taking a break from YouTube. They did not reveal a specific date would return to their shared “Moms View” channel.
“At the end of the day family is No. 1 to us no matter what and we support whatever decision that she makes,” Carlie said. “We’re just here to support her and love her and even though she can’t be here she sends her love. When she’s ready, she’ll be back.”
