Shayanna Jenkins And Daughter Avielle Pictured For First Time Since Aaron Hernandez’s Suicide
Shayanna Jenkins was pictured with her daughter, Avielle, Thursday for the first time after her fiancé, former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was found hanging in his prison cell Wednesday. His death was confirmed a suicide by the Worcester County District Attorney's office the following day.
In the pictures obtained by the Daily Mail, Jenkins, 27, carried a car seat for her 4-year-old at her mother Jodi’s house in Bristol, Connecticut. Her appearance was much more natural that her courtroom look, ditching makeup for a natural look. She wrote a nude shirt and black pants. Jenkins was accompanied by one of her friends.

She did not issue a public statement after Hernandez killed himself. His cause of death was asphyxia by hanging, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Henry N. Nields determined. There were no signs of struggle. The former athlete was alone at the time of the suicide, the report said.
“Mr. Hernandez was locked in his cell about 8 p.m. and no one entered the cell until a correction officer observed him at 3:03 a.m. and forced his way through the impeded door to render aid,” the report read. “The cell was processed by State Police Detectives and Crime Scene Service Troopers. Investigators found three hand-written notes next to a Bible in the cell.”
Hernandez wrote a verse from “John 3:16” in red ink on his forehead. It read: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Five days before his death, he was acquitted of double murder for the 2012 deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
He was serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of semiprofessional football player Odin Lloyd.
A funeral date for Hernandez was not immediately known.
