  • SHIB is working on a deal that's almost complete
  • SHIB lead developer revealed this information
  • He did not offer any details as to what this deal is about

The SHIB team set off a guessing game over the weakend when lead developer Shytoshi Kusama teased about a "deal that will break the internet."

During a Shiba Inu Discord Q&A with investors Saturday, Kusama categorically shot down Twitter rumors about a partnership with McDonald’s and said that wasn't the current "LFG," a gaming shorthand for "looking for group."

Tesla CEO and meme coin bull Elon Musk triggered the Twitter trend when he jokingly urged McDonald's to accept SHIBA as a form of payment.

Kusama, however, had his eyes set elsewhere. "We have another deal 98% locked that will break the internet."

Kusama did not reveal what the deal is about but he left some hints that fans could make something out. On discord, he wrote, "I want the best to not only use and pay with SHIB but adopt SHIB as their own." He also added, "To use Shib technologies and shift towards any align with our Ethos."

Kusama also assured fans that the deal would please them and that the best part of it all is that it is almost complete. While details are scarce on this deal, some fans look for more clues.

The official Twitter handle of SHIB shared a video of TV screens with the altcoin's official logo. "Attention. Something is cooking? Will you be ready?" a voice in the video was heard asking, along with the sound of a clucking chicken in the background.

The video ends with the SHIB logo on multiple screens alongside a couple of cooking utensils. The tweet earned more than 9,000 retweets and over 28,000 likes with fans suggesting various guesses.

Some fans said it has something to do with Netflix while others mentioned, Burger King or KFC. The SHIB team is no stranger to guessing games and hyping its fans. Just a few days ago, it tweeted, "As promised, we are so excited to announce our first special surprise for the year #ShibArmy! In 2022, we are reaching new heights and welcoming the #Shiberse _. An immersive experience for our ecosystem and the Metaverse space! We can't wait to show you more. Woof!"

Following this tease, the team revealed a few days later that it is working on Shiberse and is set to enter the Metaverse.
