Shiba Inu Lead Developer Slams Critics Who Want Him To Step Down
KEY POINTS
- Kusama was at the Shiba Inu Discord server recently
- The lead developer discussed the CCG title "Shiba Eternity"
- Kusama challenged the critics to "step up"
Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, clapped back at critics after they asked him to step down.
This year alone, the Shiba Inu development team led by Kusama launched the decentralized exchange (DEX) platform ShibaSwap, the initial stage of its metaverse SHIB: The Metaverse and its first-ever collectible card game (CCG) "Shiba Eternity." That is aside from the partnershibs (crypto speak for partnership) with different businesses and more merchants accepting the dog-themed altcoin as a form of payment.
Despite Kusama and the team's efforts, there are still those who are not pleased with what's happening in the community. They even asked the lead developer to step down from his post. Kusama is always the cool, level-headed lead developer the Shib Army knows, but it appears that like everyone else, his patience also runs out.
During the recent discussion about "Shiba Eternity" on the official Shiba Inu Discord, Kusama vented his anger on these critics, more popularly known in the crypto world as fudders or people spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt.
"A fudder got to me, and I want to explain why it hurt. It's fine if you don't want to play the game, but to hear people still call me a scammer after I have put my heart, soul and time into this project is bewildering," the pseudonymous lead developer said, according to a screenshot provided by former Shiba Growth Breed member and social media influencer @GossipShib.
Additionally, he also challenged the critics to "step up."
Kusama is one of the major driving forces behind the phenomenal success of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, aside from its loyal and fierce community, known as the Shib Army.
During the height of crypto winter, the lead developer would publish blogs to offer updates and encourage and inspire the community. The updates reflect that the team is knee-deep in working on various projects that would further increase the use case of Shiba Inu or help spike its price.
But even then, the team, especially Kusama, would every so often get acid remarks from people online.
