SHIB's Kusama Reveals Shiba Inu Games, Shibarium Layer-2 Release Window

Shiba Inu's pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has brought another set of good news following the successful launch of the Shiba Burn portal as he revealed the release window of the highly anticipated Shiba Inu Games and Shibarium Layer-2.
The Shiba Inu Games, currently in development at PlaySide Studios, may officially roll out sometime in September, according to a comment made by Kusama. The lead developer briefly discussed upcoming projects planned for Shiba Inu and answered some questions in the Shiba Turkiye Telegram very recently.
The release window aligns with Kusama's previous statement that the Shib Discord that he was hopeful that Shiba Inu Games would become available by Q4 2022 and Melbourne-based PlaySide Studios' statement of the game releasing in Q1 FY23, which in the Australian financial year is between June and September 2022.
The upcoming project was announced in November last year and will comprise of two games, one of them an NFT title that will use Shiboshi NFTs, and the other a classic mobile game.
Former Activision executive William Volk serves as the consultant for the games' development. In January, PlaySide hyped the games, saying, "We are building something truly great together and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming," adding, "Shiba Inu Games is just the beginning."
The mobile game is reportedly designed to attract casual gamers and will feature in-app purchases just like other mobile games available today. In March, Volk represented Shiba Inu at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.
In addition to the release window of the Shiba Inu Games, Kusama also provided the possible release date of Shibarium Layer-2. The lead developer initially said on Discord that it would roll out "very soon" but offered more specifics in the latest comment on Telegram: "According to our partners at Xfund, we are weeks or a few months away."
Shibarium is a blockchain or layer-2 solution, which was first proposed by the pseudonymous Shiba Inu creator Ryoshi, where SHIB will be migrated. The development prepared several projects for Shiba Inu and the most recent one to launch is the Shib Burn portal, which has burned around 15 billion tokens since its launch Friday.
Shiba Inu was trading down 3.97% at $0.00002431, with a 24-hour volume of $1,133,928,512, as of 10:30 p.m. ET on Monday based on the data from CoinMarketCap.
