‘Shooter’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 5 Synopsis And Trailer Revealed
With the way “Shooter” Season 3 is going, no character is safe.
The USA drama doesn’t shy away from the action, with every episode more explosive than the one before it. Thursday night, Season 3, episode 5 airs, and it’s taking Bob Lee (Ryan Phillippe) on a new mission.
In the fresh episode, titled “A Call to Arms,” Bob Lee seeks out a friend of his father’s to gather more information about his time in Vietnam. While there, Bob Lee specifically asks about a rogue operation his father was a part of because he wants to learn more about who his father was, how he became part of the beginnings of Atlas and how it all connected to his murder.
Bob Lee’s journey later finds him crashing an event in Washington, D.C., where he will “cross paths with an operative on a mission of his own,” according to the episode’s synopsis. It’s clear from the trailer that viewers can expect more of the high-stakes action that they’ve come to expect from each episode.
“If you go, they’ll kill you,” a man tells Bob Lee in the episode promo. He simply responds, “I’m used to it.” With so many enemies and missions, he really is used to it.
To recap what happened in last week’s episode, titled “The Importance of Service,” Bob Lee continued to look into the death of his father. His search led him to the rumor that his father was having an affair with Jimmy Poole’s (Grant Harvey) wife, Edie (Kristin Slaysman). After learning this, Bob Lee shared the information with his wife, Julie (Shantel VanSanten), who then took it upon herself to find Edie and confirm that the rumor was true.
Episode 4 of Season 3 ended with Bob Lee, Nadine (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) and Isaac (Omar Epps) rescuing Harris (Jesse Bradford) from Atlas. The task involved some shootouts, explosions and hand-to-hand combat. Once they were able to complete this mission, Harris told Nadine and Isaac everything he learned while he was held captive, including about an important key card they should be looking for.
“Shooter” airs new episodes on USA Network on Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT.
