Simon Cowell Talks About Son Eric And Their 'Similar Tastes'

Simon Cowell may be a strict judge but he is a doting dad to his 3-year-old son, Eric.

According to Cowell, as his son grows up they have developed a number of similarities. "The older he gets, it's quite interesting how we have similar tastes," the "American Got Talent" judge shared (via Us Weekly).

"Either we like the same thing or we don't like the same thing. But he loves the show, I mean he really does," Cowell added.

Back in May, Cowell was spotted with Eric snacking backstage. The "X Factor" judge asked his tot with girlfriend Lauren Silverman a difficult question. "If you had to be on a desert island for the rest of your life with either me or mommy, who would it be?" he asked his son. Eric pointed at his dad as he said, "Because you press the scary buzzer all day."

In August, Simon also dished that his son is old enough to be his companion. In fact, they talk all the time. "Easy. Eric's old enough now to be my buddy. We talk to each other all the time. We're friends and he's fun to be around," Cowell told Extra.

In related news, many are worried about Cowell's health. The TV's "Mr. Nasty" is very busy maintaining his TV projects and family.

Cowell is currently in Los Angeles for "America's Got Talent" where he is the head judge. He is also set to return to "X Factor" in the UK. In addition to this, he has a family to look after.

Simon was pictured with gray hair and an unkempt beard. He has dark rings around his eyes and has an anxious expression on his face. The snapshot was reportedly taken while he was driving his car around Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on Monday.

"Yeez! Simon doesn't look so well does he?" one fan commented. "Simon looks rough these days."

Meanwhile, Daily Mail noted that Cowell's girlfriend featured a contrasting aura as she went on a shopping spree in New York City. Silverman, 40, was glamorous in her Chloe Lace-trimmed wool sweater and pair of denim skinny jeans. She added extra height to her frame by wearing a pair of nude suede heels.
