‘Sister Swap: Christmas In The City’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel’s very merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, the second in a series of interconnected films, “Sister Swap: Christmas in the City.” The film, which stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ashley Williams and Keith Robinson, premieres Sunday night.
The second film of the series focuses on the second sister character, with Williams starring in this story. While some may recognize her as Victoria from “How I Met Your Mother,” she’s very familiar to Hallmark fans. Among the titles she has starred in on both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries have been “Love on a Limb,” “Christmas in Evergreen,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa,” “Northern Lights of Camera,” “Holiday Hearts,” “Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy,” “Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater” and “Christmas in Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing.”
As for Deklin, he will also be a familiar face to Hallmark fans. He has starred previously in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film “Redemption in Cherry Springs” and the Hallmark Channel film “A Christmas Love Story.”
So what can fans expect in this second film? Let’s find out.
“Jennifer (Williams-Paisley) and Meg Swift (Williams) are sisters who couldn’t be closer despite living in different cities. Meg comes to Salt Lake City from her hometown in Hazelwood to see her sister Jennifer, who runs a local restaurant in town,” a synopsis reads. “Still feeling the effects of losing their Uncle Dave (Kevin Nealon), a change of scenery and a project to dive into are just what she needs. When Jennifer and her teenage son, Simon (Jacob Buster), return to Hazelwood home for a pre-holiday visit with their family, Meg offers to help Jennifer’s staff prepare for a competition among local restaurants that awards the winner money for the charity of its choice.”
This puts her with Jennifer’s manager, who is a bit different from Meg, making their time together a challenge at first—until they start to realize there is something more between them.
“As effusive Meg works alongside the more reserved Joe (Robinson), the restaurant’s manager, the two find their differences are what make them a great team,” the synopsis reads. “Swapping cities with her sister leads Meg to her next chapter and just might also bring her an unexpected romance.”
“Sister Swap: Christmas in the City” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
