‘Sister Wives’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis Revealed; What Will Happen In 'Wrestling With Adoption'?
The divorce papers might be signed but according to reports, the drama has only just begun on Season 6 of “Sister Wives.” The synopsis for episode 2 teases that the Brown family will confront even more obstacles in the upcoming installment of the TLC series – like the ramifications of Meri and Kody’s separation.
The spouses of 24 years ended their marriage in the Season 6 premiere so that Kody, the patriarch of the plural family, could legally wed Robyn, the fourth sister wife. Meri, the mastermind behind this plan, concocted this idea so that Robyn’s children (from her previous marriage) may have a chance at getting adopted by Kody. Otherwise, if something was to happen to Robyn, the paternal father of her children – who has been absent from their lives, according to Robyn – would have legal claim over the kids.
So, in episode 1, Robyn and Kody quickly got hitched after his divorce from Meri was made official. Robyn explained that now that “process one and two” were complete, referring to the legal divorce and the marriage, the family could proceed with their next step – which would be getting Kody rightful claim to the children.
“The next step is really the most important: Kody wants to adopt Robyn’s kids from her first marriage,” the synopsis says, adding that it won't be an easy task for Kody to become the legal guardian of Robyn’s children.
The “big question now,” according to the summary for episode 2, is how does Robyn’s ex feel about his children getting adopted by Robyn’s new husband?
It was also revealed that Meri will become “emotional” as she tries to explain to the kids about the “marriage license shift to Robyn.” Will they not be accepting of the document shuffle? Or will children understand the selfless reason that bolstered Meri’s decision to relinquish her title of Kody’s legal wife?
Fans will find out when episode 2 of “Sister Wives” Season 6 airs on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.
