‘Sister Wives’ Season 7 Premiere Date Revealed In New Trailer; Teases Therapy For Meri And Kody Brown
The Brown family is headed to therapy — and they’re letting us come along for the seriously bumpy ride.
In the first trailer released for the seventh season of TLC’s “Sister Wives,” which will air its premiere Sunday, May 8, fans of the long-running reality series will accompany the polygamous family as they make their way to counseling following Meri’s catfishing scandal.
In finale of Season 6, Meri revealed to her husband Kody and fellow sister wives (Janelle, Christine and Robyn) that she was tricked into having an emotional relationship with a woman who was pretending to be a man — a confession that rocked the family to its core. Now, in Season 7 of “Sister Wives,” the Brown brood will seek a way to move forward following the life-altering event.
“Meri and I have struggled for a very long time,” the patriarch of the Brown clan reveals during a confessional in the promo video. And he’s not the only one who has felt a rift in their relationship.
Viewers then catch a glimpse of a teary-eyed Meri telling Kody that there were times she was upset with him. “I’m not going to lie. I was angry at you,” she said during therapy.
Janelle chimes in to say that “from an outside perspective” she could see “manipulation all over it,” while Christine reveals that Robyn feels “betrayed.”
Although the aftermath of Meri’s catfishing scandal will play a large role in the coming season, the birth of Robyn and Kody’s second child, Ariella Mae, as well as Maddie’s engagement, will also be celebrated in Season 7 of “Sister Wives.”
“Sister Wives” will return with its Season 7 premiere on Sunday, May 8, at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
