'Sister Wives' Star Janelle Brown Accuses Husband Kody Of 'Using' Her For Money

Janelle Brown has called out her husband, Kody Brown, for using her money and forcing her to buy his ex-wife Christine's old house despite her being clear about her wish to build her own separate house on the family's Coyote Pass property.

In Sunday's "Sister Wives" episode, Janelle explained to Kody that she can't afford to buy Christine's house and build her own, too. Aside from talking to Kody, Janelle also shared how she feels about it during the confessional.

"All Kody talked about was how much he was sad that he was losing this house that Christine had. He loved it," Janelle said during the confessional, ET reported. "He didn't want to lose it. So, it sort of felt like he was using me and my buying power to save this house that he loves."

According to the outlet, when Kody tried to pressurize Janelle further to buy the house, she replied, "I don't have a house. I want my own house."

Janelle, 53, explained that if she buys Christine's house, it will impact the speed of building her own house, and she will eventually get "stuck" in the house that she doesn't fancy.

"He's not listening at all to the reasons I can't do this or don't want to do this," Janelle said about Kody. "It's almost like he feels like if he keeps telling me, he's going to steamroll me and I'll lay down and be like, 'OK, we'll do it.'"

Kody, on the other hand, shared during the confessional that he is not trying to "force" Janelle into anything. He added, "I'm trying to have a conversation. She's going to do what she wants. She always has."

"If she can't work with me to solve the problems, then she gets to solve the problems on her own," Kody said in an angry tone. "And the way she's going about it with buying the RV, with moving out there, with this whole charade, it's not working."

Kody further blamed Christine for "poisoning" his relationship with other sister wives, includingJanelle, Meri and Robyn Brown.

Christine announced in November last year that she is ending her 25 years of marriage with Kody. The former couple was together from 1994 to 2021. Kody is also spiritually married to Meri Brown since 1990, while Janelle is married to Kody since 1993. Whereas he officially married Robyn in 2014.

"I'm struggling so much with this divorce," Kody was quoted as saying by US Magazine about his split with Christine. "It's probably poisoning my relationship with Janelle a little bit and definitely poisoning my relationship with Robyn. I think that's because I haven't figured out what I am when we're not this family. I'm out of my frame and I'm out of my purpose. I'm spiritually off course. I'm a mess."
