‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 4 Spoilers: 7 Things We Learned About Fox Series At Comic Con
In a decision that no one saw coming, Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” renewed the show for a fourth season despite killing off its female lead, Nicole Beharie’s Abbie Mills. Nevertheless, the series has replaced Mills with a Secret Service Agent named Diana and changed the setting of the show from Sleepy Hollow to Washington, D.C.
At the New York Comic Con, the “Sleepy Hollow” panel shared a sizzle reel of the upcoming season that revealed some interesting spoilers.
Here’s what to expect in Season 4:
1. Ichabod’s Son Henry Parrish Is Back!
Remember Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Katrina’s (Katia Winter) son Henry Parrish (John Noble) from Season 2? He is also a witch, a sin eater and the Horseman of War. He will be back in Season 4, reports TVGuide.
Henry’s brief appearance happens when Ichabod is chained and put on a murder trial in what looks like an eighteenth century court in Britain (pictured below). He says “Hello father,” before the video ends, reports TVLine.
2. The Secret Archives In Washington, D.C. Is Bigger Than The One In Sleepy Hollow
Season 4 will kick off with Crane and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) searching for the second witness. They will work with a secret, supernatural organization based in the capitol and this organization makes use of a secret archive that has recorded all the supernatural and weird phenomena that has taken place so far.
Dubbed the secret history of America, the archives are bigger and better than the one Abbie and Crane were using in Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod and Abbie’s sister also meet their new colleagues Jake (Jerry MacKinnon) and Alex (Rachel Melvin).
3. Ichabod Introduces Jenny As A “Soldier, Scholar And All-Around Badass”
Needless to say Jenny moves to the nation’s capital to assist the witness in his fight against evil. In fact, Mison told TVLine that Abbie’s death will drive the two of them more in their fight against demons.
4. The Season 4 Villain Will Do Anything To Get What He Wants
Malcolm Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies) is the main villain in “Sleepy Hollow” Season 4. He will not hesitate to shed blood to get what he wants. Here’s hoping that he’s a better villain that The Hidden One (Peter Mensah ).
5. Including Befriending The Headless Horseman
Not only will the Headless Horseman be back in Season 4 of the Fox series, but Dreyfuss will try hard to get the Horseman to work for him. Good luck!
6. Crane Is More On Guard
Of course, after Abbie’s death, Crane will different. “[He’s] in a new place, with new people. That puts him more on guard,” Mison said. “There’s a little less buffoonery, which I’m very, very pleased with. Because it doesn’t do any favors for Ichabod — or Tom.”
7. Tom Mison Didn’t Think There Would Be A Fourth Season
Of course, neither did fans.
“Sleepy Hollow” is set to return to Fox in early 2017.
