A family in Australia had a close encounter with a deadly snake after it was found slithering into the kids' bedroom in their house.

Stu McKenzie of the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, who were called by the family to remove the snake, posted a video on Facebook showing how the reptile was captured.

"When we arrived to the property in Wurtulla (Queensland), the residents had done the right thing by locking the snake in the room and watching its movements from the outside window but lost sight of it as we pulled up," McKenzie wrote alongside the video.

He added the team did a quick search of the room and after moving some items, found the eastern brown snake. The reptile was moving around really fast, but McKenzie managed to guide it into a bag.

He did this "without having to touch him which was good result as smaller browns can often be quite difficult to grab," McKenzie wrote, adding a pet mouse was also in the home.

"Glad we could find him and relocate the snake out of the bedroom and back to the bush," he wrote.

The video posted Wednesday was viewed more than 50,000 times.

"Wow! The snake came so far inside! Lucky they caught it!" one user commented. Another said: "Obedient snake, knows who is boss." Some users were also terrified thinking how snakes can enter rooms.

"How did the snake get in ? Thank goodness they saw it," one user commented, while another said: "If that’s my house, it’s up for sale tomorrow."

Last week, McKenzie was called to a home after the family stumbled upon a deadly snake blocking the door of their home. The photos of the eastern brown snake lying near the sliding door were shared online by Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7. “Imagine walking up to your sliding door to head outside when you stumble across this healthy Eastern Brown Snake,” McKenzie wrote on Facebook at the time. “It was enjoying itself hiding in between the sliding doors. The snake was so thick that it only just fot in there when it was coiled back on itself.” McKenzie said the wranglers arrived at the scene and removed the snake from the home.
