“Jersey Shore” may be winding down during its final season on the air, but the show’s breakout star, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, appears to be staying in the limelight just fine. The 24-year-old reality-television sensation recently tweeted a picture of herself and her new son Lorenzo that quickly went viral.

“Mommy & son❤” Snooki tweeted to her nearly 6 million followers, attaching an Instagram photograph of herself and her son to the tweet.

While many fans are glad to get another look at Snooki’s son Lorenzo, the most notable thing about the photo may be Snooki’s lack of makeup in the shot.

The “Jersey Shore” star is known for getting all glammed up before appearing in the public eye, but this candid Twitter moment shows both Snooki and Lorenzo in their everyday wear. Snooki is wearing a simple denim jacket and dark pants, while her hair is hardly styled. It’s actually a pretty sweet candid moment.

Snooki gave birth to Lorenzo back Aug. 26. Soon after his birth, the child moved in with Snooki and her fiance Jionni LaValle.

After Snooki’s "Jersey Shore" locale of Seaside Heights, N.J. was hit particularly hard by Hurricane Sandy, Snooki has been using her star power to encourage fans worldwide to help out in the relief efforts.

Snooki herself has been active in those efforts, sending “robes, slippers, sweats, blankets, everything" to victims hit hard by the storm.

"I'm coming with clothes to keep warm!!! #sandyvictims," Snooki Tweeted, attaching a photo of goods intended for the disaster's victims.
