Snoop Lion Is A Miley Cyrus Fan, Says 'Ashtrays And Heartbreaks' Collaboration 'Was Only Right'
Former Disney child star Miley Cyrus has made quite an impression on rapper Snoop Lion, as the seasoned artist calls himself a “fan” of her work.
The seemingly odd pair recently collaborated on Snoop Lion’s debut reggae single, “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks.”
The 41-year-old rapper from Long Beach, Calif., announced last July that he will be dropping the Dogg moniker in favor of the reggaeton name Snoop Lion and releasing a reggae album produced by Diplo of Major Lazer titled “Reincarnated” under the new name.
At the MTV Movie Awards, Snoop Lion told E!,“I've always been a fan of hers. And when she decided to go solo and do her thing, it was only right for us to connect. We both believe in the same things. She's going through transformation and change right now, just like myself.”
Meanwhile, Cyrus and fiancé Liam Hemsworth have postponed their wedding, which was supposed to take place in June, indefinitely.
Amid reports that the couple is going through a rough patch, a source close to the young lovers told the upcoming issue of Life & Style, “There have been so many problems with them, they thought it was best to work out their issues before making such a big commitment.”
Hemsworth, 23, proposed to Cyrus, 20, last May with a 3.5-carat diamond ring. They began dating in 2009 after co-starring in the film “The Last Song.”
The Australian actor’s family seems equally unsure if the wedding will even happen. “I don’t know,” his sister-in-law Elsa Pataky told the publication. “If they get married, it would be nice to go [to their wedding].”
