Snowden Has Offers Of Asylum From Nicaragua, Venezuela And Bolivia [MAP]

Three Latin American countries have offered NSA leaker Edward Snowden asylum, but there’s still no word on which country he will choose.

The first offer of asylum was either made by President Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua or President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, followed by an offer from President Evo Morales of Bolivia, according to the AP.

The offer from the Bolivian president came after he accused U.S. and European nations of temporarily blocking his flight home from a Moscow summit on Saturday, because they suspected that he might have Snowden aboard.

On Sunday, Cuban President Raul Castro said that he supported his leftist Latin American neighbors in their offers of asylum to Snowden, though he did not indicate whether Cuba would also also offer him the same.
