Sofia Vergara Shows Off Bikini Body As She Celebrates Holidays In Mexico With Fiance Nick Loeb [PHOTO]
Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb are apparently still engaged, though the actress was spotted without her 8-carat engagement ring earlier this month, sparking rumors the pair called the wedding off. The "Modern Family" star and her businessman fiancé have been shaky for some time now, reportedly seeking counseling in January after a New Year’s Eve brawl left her with a torn dress, according to multiple media reports.
“They recently had their first meeting with the therapist, who has been on the phone and given positive results. It was Sophia who encouraged Nick to help start this program because she wants to be sure that the two are compatible,” a close friend of Vergara’s told Colombian newspaper El Espectador earlier this year.
The therapy sessions must have worked, because the two went to Mexico this week for a holiday vacation. The sexy 41-year-old Colombian showed her body off in a blue bikini top and black G-string bottoms, while Loeb opted for yellow trunks.
Vergara recently admitted that though they got engaged last year, there is no rush for marriage. “I was thinking the other day that Americans take engagements like, 'OK, we're engaged. It means let's plan weddings.' But for a couple of Latin Americans, you get engaged, but it's like another stage in your love life. It doesn't mean, 'OK, let's immediately call the flower place.' It's like another period,” she said while on talk show “Chelsea Lately.”
Meanwhile, Vergara has a lot to celebrate as the year comes to an end -- Forbes named her the highest-paid television actor, raking in $30 million between June 2012 and June 2013. While "Modern Family" certainly contributes to her gross income -- she makes $175,000 per episode -- it is her numerous endorsements that have really made her an actress to be reckoned with in Hollywood. She has a Kmart clothing line and is the spokeswoman for Diet Pepsi, Cover Girl, Comcast, State Farm Insurance, and a thyroid medication called Synthroid.
