Sony Drops Jared Leto's 'Morbius' Exclusive Scene [Watch]
Sony Pictures shared an exclusive clip from the highly anticipated movie, "Morbius," via Twitter on Sunday.
In the three minutes, 29 seconds long scene, actress Adria Arjona - who played Doctor Michael Morbius - could be seen checking the backbone of actor Jared Leto, before putting him to sleep.
A bunch of men playing cards in a room nearby could be seen approaching the doctor's room after they hear unusual noises. One of the men decides to check on the doctor and realizes that Leto - who played vampire - is missing from his bed.
Leto suddenly attacks the man and later, his friends also enter the room to protect the man. Leto could be seen fighting and dodging bullets in the next scene.
After the fight, Leto turned into a human again and looks at himself in the mirror.
"Is he here to save the world or destroy it?" Sony Pictures captioned the video. "Watch Dr. Michael Morbius and his sinister alter-ego in this exclusive scene. @MorbiusMovie - Coming exclusively to movie theaters January 28."
Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.
One of the fans wrote, "Whoa! This is a really cool action scene! Great display of powers! #Morbius looks so creepy, but in a good way! Is it a mix of cgi and makeup and prosthetics? It looks really cool!"
Another fan noted, "Tbh slightly shocked that it’s actually three minutes long, seems a bit much..but my God, looks totally insane and awesome."
However, some of the netizens also criticized that the action of the movie is pretty average while some of them compared the movie with another anti-superhero movie, “Venom.”
The movie revolves around a character, Biochemist Michael Morbius, who struggles to find a cure for his rare blood disease. However, the human experiment done on him goes wrong as he turns into a vampire.
"Morbius" is helmed by director Daniel Espinosa and it also stars Michael Keaton, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson and Al Madrigal. Besides "Morbius," Leto will also feature in various projects including "WeCrashed," "Adrift," and "Tron 3."
