Update: 7: 46 a.m. EDT – The incident reportedly took place inside Sony HQ, where Simon Cowell's company SyCo Entertainment has offices. A source reportedly cited Cowell saying “we are safe.”
A woman at the building tweeted: "Was a stabbing downstairs. All are remaining in our locked rooms but we think police are now here."

Update: 7:39 a.m. EDT – Metropolitan police said in a statement two people suffered stab injuries, but their condition remains unknown. “One person has been arrested…No evidence of any firearms involved in this incident. It is not being treated as terror related. Officers remain on scene and the incident remains ongoing.”

An alleged knife attack took place at the Sony headquarters in Kensington, United Kingdom, according to witnesses. Police arrived at the scene of the incident, which some claimed on Twitter was carried out by a man with a weapon.

"We are aware of an incident on Derry Street W8, police on scene including firearms officers and London Ambulance Service. At this time we believe two people are injured. Incident is on-going," Metropoliton police wrote on Twitter.

Some witness on Twitter also claimed to have heard gunshots.
