Maya (Minnie Driver) finds out what JJ (Micah Fowler) was searching for on the internet when he was supposed to be doing his homework in Season 1, episode 19 of ABC’s “Speechless.”

In a sneak peek from the episode, titled “C-H--CHEATER,” Maya confronts Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) after he appears to have helped JJ cheat on his exam at school. “Do you do all his bloody homework for him as well?” Maya asks Kenneth.

“No, I have nothing to do with the homework,” Kenneth replies.

As part of Maya’s plan to hold JJ accountable for cheating on his exam, Maya decides to check whether or not her eldest has been doing his homework himself. “You’re a smart kid, JJ. It’s time to apply yourself,” Maya says. “Let’s take a look at your homework log.”

Much to Maya’s surprise, JJ can’t remember his password. “Do you not know the password? When was the last time you logged in?” Maya asks.

Kenneth also can’t believe that JJ forgot his password, telling Maya that JJ has been in front of the computer all the time.

“Doing what?” Maya asks, before finally deciding to take a look at his son’s search history.

Despite Kenneth’s attempt to stop Maya from checking JJ’s browsing history, Maya does what she needs to do and discovers that JJ was spending most of his time searching for all things Emma Watson. “Emma Watson. Emma Watson hot. Emma Watson wheelchair user boyfriend, question mark,” Maya says as she reads JJ’s search history.

Elsewhere in the episode, according to the installment’s synopsis, Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) bails Ray (Mason Cook) out of a get-rich-quick scheme and learns the reason why he needs some fast cash.
