“Spider-Man 3” is the highly anticipated Marvel film that will bring back Tom Holland as the wall-crawling superhero. The production supposed to begin in a few weeks, but there has been some concern about delay because of the coronavirus lockdown that has forced all major studios to stop work until the situation with the pandemic improves.

Last month, Holland expressed confidence in beginning the project soon. He told Inquirer that the production will start in July in Atlanta. The actor added that he is “super happy” about reprising his role.

Holland may not have read the script of the third installment yet. In his interview, he confirmed that MJ (Zendaya), who was his character’s love interest from the previous film, will be back. However, he is not sure what MJ’s role will be in the next film.

The producers are currently gearing up to begin work on the next film. According to Discussing Film, they have hired cinematographer Seamus McGarvey to work on “Spider-Man 3.”

McGarvey previously worked as the director of photography for the first “Avengers” film. He also worked on the post-credits scene in the first “Thor” movie. Some of his other projects include “Godzilla” and “The Greatest Showman.”

One major character related to wall-crawling superhero who is yet to appear in the Marvel films is Uncle Ben. According to Screen Rant, there is rumor that suggests that the character will finally appear in the next movie. As far as the villain is concerned, Norman Osborn or Kraven The Hunter are expected to be the next big bad.

“Spider-Man 3” is yet to get an official title. The film is scheduled to be released on July 16, 2021.
