“Spider-Man: Far From Home: releases on July 2 and will team up Peter Parker with Mysterio to battle Elementals that have made Peter’s European getaway a little more complicated.

Reviews have started coming out for the newest entry in the MCU, and critics have been responding well to the film closing out Phase 3. As with “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” Tom Holland is once again praised for his performance as the titular wall-crawler. Jake Gyllenhaal has also been receiving plenty of praise for his comic book movie debut as the helmeted Mysterio. Other positive aspects of the film include the visuals and action sequences coordinated that pit Spider-Man and Mysterio against these Elementals tormenting Europe.

Here's a sample of what critics have been saying:

NPR – Chris Klimek

"The movie has a bunch of winning performances from 22-year-olds still credibly playing 16, it tells a complete-ish yarn while dutifully laying track for further sequels, and it shows more visual brio than your average Marvel joint."

Polygon – Matt Patches

"There's plenty to spoil in Far From Home, but I'll say this: Devotees of the MCU will have plenty to huff as Watts finds clever, deep cut ways to tie Peter's adventure into established mythology."

Mashable – Alexis Nedd

"Even though the next phase is still shrouded in mystery, Spider-Man: Far From Home does a fantastic job of latching the door that Endgame closed, while opening a whole new universe of possibilities for Marvel."

Total Film – Jordan Farley

"Another home run for the MCU that puts Pete's responsibilities in a post-Iron Man world front and centre during a rib-tickling summer romance."

Daily Telegraph – Robbie Collin

"Spider-Man: Far From Home offers a breezy, Europe-set intermezzo between Avengers: Endgame and whatever is coming next - a kind of sorbet in blockbuster form to punctuate the binge."

IGN – Jim Vevjoda

"Far From Home ends Marvel's Phase Three with a hell of a bang, thrusting its young wallcrawler into a treacherous but hugely exciting new era."
