'Spider-Man: No Way Home': Topher Grace Shares Fake Spoilers; Says 'Keep It Between Us'
Topher Grace -- who appeared in "Spider-Man 3" as Venom in 2007 -- recently replied to some fans' question on Reddit with fake spoilers of the highly anticipated movie, "Spider-Man: No Way Home."
Grace was asked Monday whether he will appear in the new "Spider-Man" movie to which the 43-year-old actor replied, "Please keep it between us but yes, I am in it."
The actor fueled the speculations of Venom's character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming movie. Previously, Marvel confirmed the return of Green Goblin, Electro and Doc Ock's return in the upcoming "Spider-Man" movie.
The "Home Economics" star further wrote that the plot begins with "Peter Parker (Tom Holland) bummed that everyone knows his identity and then some crazy s--t happens with Dr. Strange and Dr. Octopus (Alfred Molina) comes into his dimension."
"Then Electro and the Green Goblin hop out of one of those 'energy circles' and they’re like “It’s spider stompin time”. Then Tom Hardy and I pop out and battle each other and I win (obvi)," he added. "It’s like not even a fight I just kick his a-- immediately."
He jokingly further wrote that he doesn't want to give "too much away" but there are also some actors returning from "The Amazing Spider-Man," which was released in 1977. Grace also joked about crossovers that no one asked for.
"Aquaman and Batman (Affleck, not Keaton) crossover, and thanks to Disney Han Solo’s ghost from Rise of Skywalker, and that Eve robot from Wall-E. Again, please keep between us," he concluded.
Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.
One of the fans played along with the actor's spoilers and wrote, "Wow, sounds great. Your secret is safe here" while another fan noted, "You have always been hilarious, but damn dude, you're killing it. But between Woody Harrelson and you, I'm going to say Woody was better."
A user commented, "Lmao ofc! It's all so obvious now! I'm looking forward to seeing the villains wink at the camera after they give their iconic line, 'its Spiderman stompin time.'"
On the work front, the actor is currently working on the TV series, "Home Economics," and last year, he was featured in a political comedy movie, "Irresistible."
"Spider-Man: No Way Home" is slated to release on Dec. 17, 2021.
