‘A Splash of Love; Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
With Christmas in July coming to a close, Hallmark Channel is once again bringing viewers some summertime love with the return of Summer Nights. The next film to premiere in that lineup is “A Splash of Love.” The film, which stars Rhiannon Fish and Benjamin Hollingsworth, debuts Saturday night.
The film will be a treat for fans who are eager for summertime movies to return, but also those who actually know the film’s stars, both of whom have starred in Hallmark films in the past. Fish has previously been featured in “Journey of My Heart,” “The 27-Hour Day” and “You’re Bacon Me Crazy,” as well as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titles “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made” and “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How to Con A Con.”
As for Hollingsworth, he has notably featured in the Hallmark Channel film “Love Under the Olive Tree,” as well as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries title “A Godwink Christmas: Meant For Love.” He is also known for his role as Dan Brady on “Virgin River.”
Madeleine Kelders (“Love, Classified”) also stars.
So what can fans expect from the film? Let’s find out.
“Chloe (Fish) is halfway through her Ph.D. program in marine mammalogy (the study of whales) at one of Miami’s top universities,” a synopsis for the film reads. “She pulls long hours at the lab, but what she loves most is being out on the water with the majestic creatures. But given her competitive field, she doesn’t get that opportunity as much as she’d like.”
“At the top of her class, she is considering applying for a highly sought-after scholarship that would fund the last two years of her doctorate,” the synopsis continues. “Dr. Andrea Ware (Kelders), Chloe’s mentor, encourages her to go beyond their local waters. Dr. Ware convinces her to expand her studies to cover whales in the Pacific Northwest, where she would gain more experience out in the field, and hopefully the confidence to apply for the scholarship. While there, Chloe meets a whale-watching tour guide (Hollingsworth), and they soon find themselves bonding over more than just Orcas.”
“A Splash of Love” airs Saturday, July 30 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
