Stadia Pro Subscribers To Get 'Thumper,' 'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' In January
KEY POINTS
- Stadia Pro subscribers will receive "Thumper" and "Rise of the Tomb Raider" in January 1, 2020
- Google will remove "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" off the list on December 31
- "Farming Simulator 19" will also be available
Good news for Stadia Pro subscribers: Google Stadia is revamping its lineup with “Thumper” and “Rise of the Tomb Raider.” Both games will be available on January 1, 2020.
“Thumper” is a “rhythm violence” game developed by Drool and released back in October 2016. The game also has an optional virtual reality support for the Oculus, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR headsets.
“Rise of the Tomb Raider” on the other hand is a Crystal-Dyamics developed game released for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 in 2016. It is a sequel to the 2013 game, “Tomb Raider,” and follows the adventures of protagonist Lara Croft into Siberia in search for the city of Kitech and its promise of immortality.
The Stadia Pro version of “Rise of the Tomb Raider” is, according to Polygon, the game's 20 Year Celebration edition, and will include the single player “Blood Ties” and the zombie-clad “Lara's Nightmare.”
Adding the two to the mix however, comes with a catch. Engadget said that Google is crashing “Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition” off the list on December 31.
Stadia Pro subscribers will still have access to other Stadia games including “Samurai Showdown,” “Mortal Kombat 11” and “Destiny 2: The Collection,” among others.
“Farming Simulator 19” will also be available as one of the games that were announced during the launching of the Stadia Pro last month alongside “Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.”
The Google Stadia Pro costs $9.99 per month and will offer access to Stadia streams, free games and game purchases discounts, added Polygon.
