'Star Wars: Episode 9' Spoilers: The Emperor's Super Weapon

Details about the super weapon in “Star Wars: Episode 9” have surfaced online. Just like every other movie from the franchise, the JJ Abrams film will introduce a massive weapon that the heroes will have to destroy towards the end to be victorious, and this time around the weapon will have a connection to Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).

The Sith Troopers that were recently teased are actually a part of the Emperor’s fleet that is in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy, Making Star Wars reported. Each one of the Star Destroyers in this fleet contains the technology of the Death Star that is capable of destroying an entire planet, and this fleet will be the super weapon the heroes will have to beat in the final act.

The Sith fleet is a part of the Emperor’s contingency plan that he put in place in preparation for his possible death. Palpatine wanted to have an army at his disposal to dominate the galaxy when he is resurrected.

Snoke (Andy Serkis) may have been searching for the fleet in the Unknown Regions, and in “Star Wars: Episode 9” it will be Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) who will be searching for it. The Supreme Leader of the First Order will be searching for a Wayfinder device to locate the fleet, but he may not be fully aware of what he will be getting into. The Emperor had no interest in sharing his power with anyone.

According to a previous leak, Kylo Ren will get the details about the Wayfinder from a spider-like character called the Oracle. However, it remains to be seen if the name is a placeholder or the actual name of the character.

The Sith Troopers are also formidable fighters. Apart from being fearless, each soldier is also equipped with a jet pack, which means that even if their ship is destroyed they can jump out and fight like the Mandalorians. A picture of the jet pack and sketches of the armor have also surfaced online.
