“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will not only be introducing a new planet, but it also may take the viewers back to a planet featured in the original trilogy. A new report indicates the upcoming movie will have a strong connection to the original trilogy. [Spoiler alert]

Reports of a “green planet” in the upcoming movie may refer to Yavin 4. Citing multiple sources, MakingStarWars now confirms that the fourth moon orbiting the planet Yavin will continue to host a rebel base, as seen in the original trilogy. The website, which has previously revealed many scoops from the upcoming movie, had not confirmed which planet would be featured in the new movie -- until now.

There are many planets in the “Star Wars” universe that are full of trees. Endor, Dagobah and Yavin 4 are just some of the planets that have extensive plant life. The new report states that Yavin 4 may be the home of Maz Kanata, played by Lupita Nyong’o, as well as Leia, played by Carrie Fisher.

Pirates and the Resistance forces will apparently share the planet in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The Resistance force will be stationed in “ancient temples,” while the pirates will be stationed in a “huge castle,” according to the report. It is unclear if the two sides will be cooperating with each other against the remnant forces of the Empire in the upcoming movie.

Apart from Jakku and the possibility of Yavin 4 featuring in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the report suggests that the movie will also feature a “snow planet.” Pictures from the production set have previously revealed that the villain Kylo Ren will be seen near a snowcapped imperial base.
