“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is a culmination of all the movies that came before. In a crucial scene in the movie, Rey (Daisy Ridley) got the help of all the major Jedi who came before her, and a list of the characters whose voices were featured in that scene has surfaced online.
The following article contains spoilers of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
During the fight against Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), Rey fell to the ground with no strength left in her to fight. The fallen Jedi spoke to her during this crucial time and gave her strength. While the voice of Yoda (Frank Oz) was the most recognizable, there were many other characters from the previous movies and TV shows that gave Rey their strength.
According to Collider, the other Jedi voices in that scene were that of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), Luminara Unduli (Olivia d’Abo), Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) from “The Clone Wars,” Aayla Secura (Jennifer Hale), Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness), Adi Gallia (Angelique Perrin), Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) from “Rebels” TV series, and Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) from the prequel trilogy.
One other Jedi who played a significant role in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is Leia (Carrie Fisher). According to Screen Rant, her death scene was about her transferring her last remaining life to save her son Ben Solo (Adam Driver).
As far as Ben is concerned, he has always been obsessed with finishing what Darth Vader started. According to Screen Rant he was able to do this saving Rey because the primary motivating factor for his grandfather was to save Padmé (Natalie Portman).
“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has been directed by JJ Abrams. The movie was released on Dec. 20 and it is currently playing in movie theaters around the world.
