- The character is immensely popular with the fans because he is very cute
“Frozen” actor Josh Gad wants a spin-off that is based on “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” character Babu Frik (voice by Shirley Henderson). The character had a small role in the movie, but it was enough to start a competition to see if he or “The Mandalorian” character Baby Yoda is more cute.
Gad took to Twitter to demand a spin-off that is based on Babu Frik. The small alien character is an expert in hacking droids, and he played an instrumental role in helping the heroes on their journey in the movie.
There are many fans who have fallen in love with Babu Frik, and according to Screen Rant there has been a surge in the character’s popularity recently. There have been several memes about the character that have surfaced online, and they are all related to the character’s work with wires and droids.
Gad is the latest fan to join the Babu Frik bandwagon. The actor has always been a big fan of “Star Wars,” and he has appeared in various videos trying to get some information about an upcoming movie from Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey.
One of the videos that was released online recently shows Gad irritating Ridley with questions about “The Rise of Skywalker” just before the release. The question he, and some of his other celebrity friends, wanted answers to were related to Rey’s parents and the name Skywalker. The “Frozen” actor, however, was not able to get any of the answers.
As far as the spin-off related to Babu Frik is concerned, it is highly unlikely that Lucasfilm would consider making one. However, if they decided to make a TV series about the character, it could be about the time when Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) was a spice runner with Zorri Bliss (Keri Russell) before he joined the Resistance.
