Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) may return after the events in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” A new theory explains how Exegol is a special planet that has a deep connection to a unique aspect related to time and space.
The following article contains spoilers of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
When Kylo Ren gave his life in order to save Rey (Daisy Ridley), it felt as though he had joined the Force like his grandfather and the other Jedi. However, there is something unique about Exegol that may help bring the character back in the flesh.
According to a theory by CBR, the planet is not only the secret home world of the Sith, it is also a part of the World Between Worlds. The concept of the World Between Worlds is featured in both the “Rebels” and the “Clone Wars” animation series, and the Emperor (Ian McDiarmid) knew about them.
The World Between World is a unique place that acts as a bridge between time and space, allowing people to travel though it freely. The Emperor wanted access to it in order to stay alive forever.
There is a theory that suggests that the Emperor managed to return in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” using the World Between Worlds. If that is indeed the case, then Kylo Ren too could return in the future using the same method.
Another theory that has gained popularity after the release of JJ Abrams movie is that the Emperor is Anakin’s(Hayden Christensen) father or at least had a role in his creation. Actor Sam Witwer, who was the voice actor for Palpatine in “Star Wars: Battlefront,” confirmed on Twitter that it is “quite possible” that Darth Sidious created Anakin.
The theory was also hinted at in Marvel’s “Darth Vader” comic issue 25, in which a Force vision showed Palpatine influencing the pregnancy. However, Lucasfilm Story Group member Matt Martin has confirmed that the intention of the scene was not to confirm the link between the Emperor and the birth of Anakin, CBR reported.
