  • Details of final action sequence have leaked online.

“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” begins with an action sequence. The opening scene has been changed a few times during the postproduction, and the latest leak reveals how the movie will start with a fight scene involving Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

The following article contains spoilers of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

Since the main villain is Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), the movie will begin with a search for the location of the Sith Lord. Just as “The Force Awakens” started with a search for a map revealing Luke Skywalker’s (Mark Hamill) location, the new film will start with Kylo Ren on a search for Darth Sidious.

According to a leak posted on Bespin Bulletin, the opening scene will show Kylo Ren slaughtering villagers in the woods with bright red lights, which is featured in the trailers. The Supreme Leader of the First Order will be searching for a Wayfinder device that belonged to his grandfather.

The Wayfinder is a pyramid shaped device and it reveals the location of Palpatine in “Star Wars: Te Rise of Skywalker.” When Kylo Ren puts the device into his TIE fighter, it will lead him through a red nebula in space to the dead planet of Exegol.

According to the leak, the movie will not clearly explain how the Sith Lord managed to survive from that fall in the second Death Star. However, Palpatine will reveal that Snoke (Andy Serkis) is just a clone that he used to push his agenda for the galaxy from the shadows.

Meanwhile, the age ratings of the movie has also confirmed some of the previous leaks about the last action sequence, Bespin Bulletin reported. BBFC has revealed that there is a scene where a man’s face melts from a “fantastical energy,” which is reference to Rey (Daisy Ridley) deflecting Palpatine’s Force energy back on him. The Swedish Cinema Department on the other hand has confirmed that a man draws the life force out of people, which is a reference to Darth Sidious rejuvenating himself by drawing the Force powers of Kylo Ren and Rey before the final battle.

According to Making Star Wars, there is a scene in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” in which General Leia (Carrie Fisher) will tell the Resistance fighters about how everything that has happened in the galaxy is because of the Sith. The soldiers will be discussing the dark magic that brought Palpatine back from the dead when the general makes the statement.
