The culmination of “Star Wars” and its groundbreaking Skywalker saga is under not only an immense amount of fan scrutiny but also extreme pressure. The lopsided reception of 2017’s “The Last Jedi,” which received simultaneous praise from critics and displeasure from the fandom, proves that “The Rise of Skywalker” must impress its fanbase.

So enters John Boyega with beautiful behind-the-scenes shots of the upcoming film. Standing as Finn alongside co-stars Daisy Ridley as Rey, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Joonas Sultana as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and BB-8, Boyega and company pose under the Millennium Falcon. The caption reads: “The team back together again…”

Seeing that the film’s first-hour pre-sale tickets have already beaten out “Avengers: Endgame,” it’s clear there’s an extremely heightened amount of anticipation surrounding the film. Despite this, there is also another layer of fan uncertainty, as rumors circulate over “The Rise of Skywalker” and its many reshoots, though insiders still claim that the movie isn’t in any trouble.

Boyega released an additional photo of himself in full Clone Trooper armor on Sunday with the following caption: “Finn is coming to Disneyland on a brand new ride! He'll be guiding you through the biggest Star Wars ride yet! Here's a sneak peek of the action."

Referring to Disneyland’s Star Tours, Boyega also alludes to a multitude of new attractions planned for the reimagined experience in light of the release for “The Rise of Skywalker.” Disney has a great many new destinations in store for the varied theme park ride that’s held within a Starspeeder 1000 helmed by “Star Wars” veterans C-3PO and R2-D2. As his post relates, Boyega himself will be a part of the magic most likely amid the film’s debut.

Though the rumor mill circulates like never before, especially as the movie nears ever closer to its winter release, there is absolutely no doubt that “The Rise of Skywalker” will be mind-blowing. Yet, it’s hard to tell if it will be for all good reasons or bad.

"Star Wars: Episode IX" hyper jumps into cinemas Dec. 20.
