Starbucks (SBUX) is once again holding its holiday red cup promotion, where customers can get a free reusable cup when they order a holiday drink.

The giveaway for the free limited-edition offer is being held on Thursday at participating U.S. Starbucks stores while supplies last. Starbucks said quantities are limited.

To receive the free holiday reusable red cup, customers need to order a handcrafted hot, iced, or blended holiday or fall beverage. Starbucks has stated the offer is available "however you order," including through mobile order and pickup, curbside pickup, or through delivery with Uber Eats.

Beverages can include the Apple Crisp Macchiato, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Hot Chocolate, Irish Cream Cold Brew, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Mocha, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte, Toasted White Hot Chocolate, and Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, which are part of Starbucks' fall and winter drink lineup.

The Starbucks Christmas Blend brewed coffee and Christmas Starbucks Reserve are not included in the offer, according to the coffee chain.

Customers who bring their clean red cup inside a Starbucks store for a refill will receive a $0.10 discount on their beverage. Reusable cups are not accepted in the drive-thru, Starbucks said.

This is the fourth straight year Starbucks has offered the red cup giveaway as it looks to reduce its impact on the environment. Starbucks is committed to reducing waste by 50% by 2030.

“The reusable red cup has become a tradition for customers each holiday season and is a step towards reducing single-use cup waste as we work towards our planet-positive goals,” said Brady Brewer, chief marketing officer for Starbucks.

The red cup design for 2021 features 50% recycled content and is inspired by Starbucks’ 50th anniversary with a classic holiday theme of “swirls of shimmering ribbons dancing against a starry sky.”

As of Wednesday's premarket hours, shares of Starbucks were trading at $112.32, up 9 cents, or 0.08%.
