Steam Autumn Sale 2017: Over 6,000 PC Games On Black Friday
Black Friday has kicked off to the usual high furor of activity. Valve started their Steam Autumn Sale on Nov. 22 with a plethora of new deals for PC gamers. People have been thronging stores and online retailers to grab everything they love, at slashed prices.
Every year, PC gamers wait with bated breath for the annual Steam’s Autumn Sale. The company has placed a whipping 6,000+ titles on sale for this year’s deals. The sale will end Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. EST. Steam also announced an up to 90 percent off on Steam Link and other Steam hardware too.
The deals keep changing every day and the homepage of the website contains a list of all daily and top deals.
Some of the best deals on the front page at the moment include a 50 percent off on “The Evil Within 2,” which puts it at $29.99 from $59.99 and “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition” at $19.99 after a 60 percent off on the original $49.99. The sale also includes a mouthwatering 40 percent off on Monolith’s “Middle-earth: Shadow of War,” which now costs $35.99 with the original price being $59.99. Bethesda Softworks’ magnum opus “Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus” has a whopping 50 percent off and is priced at just $29.99, cut down from $59.99. “Elite Dangerous” is for $13.49 (reg. $29.99) and “Sudden Strike 4” for $24.99 (reg. $49.99).
The sale also offers package deals for entire game series for hardcore fans. “Resident Evil” got an up to 85 percent off on the multiple titles under the vast series. The “Fallout” franchise got an up to 75 percent off and the “Tomb Raider” franchise is available at an up to 85 percent off.
These are just some of the deals on the website. The entire sale includes over 6,000 titles, all at great prices. If a game was too expensive for you to buy in the past, Steam just made sure you cannot use that excuse now. With several hit games of the previous year available at such low prices, the number of people tied indoors is bound to grow.
Steam also announced the second annual Steam Awards, which is a celebration of the year’s best games. The celebrations include awards like the "Mom’s Spaghetti", which is for this year’s most exciting game, “The Haunts My Dreams Award” for the best horror game of the year and the “Whoooaaaaaa, Dude! 2.0” for the “trippiest” game. Many such awards will be given to different types of games and you can vote for them, right now. You can also earn some bonuses for participating too through badges and in-game upgrades. The voting for the game awards will also close on Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. EST.
Steam deals are highly anticipated throughout the year. And in 2017, we have had two Steam sales in the span of a month.
