Steve Austin Launching New Talk Show For The WWE Network
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin will have more to say to his fans when the wrestler makes his move to the WWE Network. The former wrestler has announced that he will be hosting a new show called “Stone Cold Steve Austin: The Broken Skull Sessions” for the streaming platform with his first guest being The Undertaker himself.
Variety revealed that the new talk show will have new episodes released monthly with the first episode coming out on Nov. 24 at 10:30 p.m. EST, immediately after the pay-per-view event “Survivor Series.”
The inaugural episode will have the host sit down for a rare interview with veteran wrestler The Undertaker, who does not do much press. It's possible viewers will see him out of character for his sit down with Austin. These two have shared history at WWE, so most likely they will catch up on their time with the company as well as their memorable matches in their respective careers.
Better known as his ring name Stone Cold, the WWE superstar has held 19 championships throughout his career, including the World Heavyweight title and Intercontinental championship. Since then, Austin was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009. After retiring from in-ring action, Austin started his podcast “The Steve Austin Show” in 2013 and has become a TV host on competition shows such as “Tough Enough,” “The Broken Skull Challenge,” and “Straight Up Steven Austin.” The former wrestler has also acted in films like “The Condemned” and “The Expendables.”
The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark William Calaway, has enjoyed success as a wrestler for the WWE since the '90s. Known for his scary supernatural persona, the wrestler has held a total of 17 championships as well as a streak of 21 straight wins during the annual event WrestleMania.
Undertaker is held to the highest esteem for being one of the most prominent figures of the Attitude Era along with Austin. As one of the great stables in the company, the wrestler still remains with WWE competing with various other wrestlers in the current roster since his broken streak.
