Stocks fall at open on recovery doubts
Stocks fell on Tuesday as a slowdown in Asian manufacturing added to doubts about the pace of an economic recovery.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> dropped 73.91 points, or 0.73 percent, to 10,062.72. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> fell 9.06 points, or 0.83 percent, to 1,080.35. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> declined 15.27 points, or 0.68 percent, to 2,241.77.
